Piri Piri sauce is incredibly versatile with just the right amount of heat and can be used on just about anything. Here we use it as a marinade for a fresh tasting shrimp appetizer.


  • 1 ½ lbs raw shrimp, deveined
  • 1 cup Green Piri Piri Sauce
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove, thinly sliced
  • Cilantro leaves for garnish


  1. Combine the shrimp with the Piri Piri sauce and leave for at least 20 minutes or as long as overnight
  2. In a large frying pan, heat the butter and olive oil and gently fry the garlic for a few minutes
  3. Add the shrimp and cook until the flesh turns pink, about 2 minutes
  4. Top with cilantro and serve immediately

Serves 4 as an appetizer
