About Channy, our founder
Channy was born in Cambodia and came to the USA as a refugee in 1979. She received her formal training in mathematics and computer science from the University of Nebraska and Santa Clara University. She is author of “Short-Hair Detention - memoir of a thirteen-year-old girl surviving the Cambodian genocide”.
Growing up in America, Channy developed a passion for cooking all types of food. Especially, traditional Cambodian recipes that she acquired while helping her mother prepare and cook for special occasions and entertaining family and friends. Channy is delighted to carry on her mother’s tradition: The Joy of Sharing Food.
